We accept cash and offer special prices for uninsured patients. We urge you to call us to verify your payment options and insurance benefits. We also participate in CareCredit.
Medical Insurance
Patients often have both medical and vision insurance. Medical insurance covers exams where any medical condition that can affect the eyes is evaluated. After your examination, the doctor will determine to which insurance the exam will be filed. Glasses and/or contact lenses might still be filed to your vision insurance even if the exam is filed to your medical insurance. Examples of medical conditions include diabetes, high blood pressure, taking high-risk medications, eye diseases, lazy eye, Infections, dry eyes, allergies, cataracts, crossed eyes, and more.
We accept most major medical insurance, including:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Cigna
- Medicare
- United Health and other smaller plans
We do not participate in Medicaid.
Vision Insurance
Vision insurance covers routine eye examinations and helps to pay for glasses or contact lenses. We accept most major vision insurance including:
- Vision Service Plan (VSP)
- Eye Med
Credit Cards Are Accepted
*CareCredit is different from a regular credit card. Family Eye Care of Woodstock and Lake Geneva participates in CareCredit with "six months same as cash."
